PROCRASTINATION SERIES (5/5)
Make friends with "New and Unkown" - success is strong on change.
Uncertainty is a major blocker. More info, and specially prototyping may help a lot to light up a difficult decision. On the other hand, in a general sense, the more you're confident you can cope with whatever is sent your way, the better you can handle "New and Unknown".
Succeeding is a process of change: it will bring tons of "New and Unknown". Be ok with those, otherwise that fear will be the source of procrastinating: you'll have tasks that would really make the difference towards your goal, and you can't logically understand why you keep postponing them. This is why knowing priorities, in most cases, is not the issue.
"New and Unknown" will likely bring you risk, unsafety, difficult expectation management, and uncomfort, yes. But they will also bring you learning, diversity, evolution, connecting with people, contribution and fresh enthusiasm. Whatever brings you sparking eyes and stomach butterflies will usually point you towards something of value. Acknowledge it and just accept bumps on the road as part of life!
This is why life coaching has increased greatly in the past 10 years. There is a clear need for this information in our education system.
